MalIn’S blog 3

Ruhiger Frühling

I’m writing to you while enjoying a cup of a (probably) multiple variety washed, EA decafinated lot from Colombia roasted by DosMundos. This cuppe was brewed in my Soy cezve, a brewer that I’m prefectly fine admitting I don’t really understand yet. I adjusted my first recipe for this style of coffee, I’ll be happy to learn more about how to highlight different coffees. As the busy start of the year is coming to an end, transitioning into a phase where I’m more purposefully slowing down. My shelves are overflowing with all kinds of coffee since I’m heavily testing, researching and learning at home too, instead of just brewin’ and sippin’ for funsies. Now we find ourselves with a sugarcaned Cauca lot, apparently listed by many European roasters.

DOS mundos roasted this decaf cauca lot, Ea Decafinated at production location.

unpaid obviously i just like the coffee, duh

some source said it was Castillo and Caturra, i can only say it’s yummy :)

Hi, it’s been a long time. I actually forgot to upload a finished blog featuring a Nowhere coffee from December. (There will be another Nowhere blog coming out soon.) I am still busy working but I feel more on top of my workload and tasks, switching some shifts for more planning, organizing and some home office. I hope April and May will feel just as rich and soft as this cezve brew. I just need to remember choosing peace over impatience.

Some days that’s easier than others. Some days it’s really hard to take slow, knowing something challenging or annoying is coming up. I spent years resisting the notions that my personality would benefit from repetitive routines. It might just be the moment in time where this has changed. I do love the flow of allowing my moods and energy levels to dictate my days. However, recently I tend to always distribute my workload so unevenly across any week that it hurts on every level.

My first plan is to copy my dad, the master of medium-term, largely consistent routines. Agreeing with myself on a regular, calm way to start and end my days would certainly help me find more balanced weeks. Knowing me, knowing you, I think we never have to be afraid of losing my capability to be odd and spontaneous and change everything all over again.

Bussi, Bussi!
